What is SiteWatch?
SiteWatch is a monitoring platform that watches your websites and APIs 24/7 and alerts you the moment something breaks. It runs HTTP/S health checks every minute, tracks SSL certificate validity and domain expiry, and opens incidents automatically when something goes wrong.
Alongside the dashboard we publish a growing collection of free, no-signup network tools that developers can use straight from the browser.
Our mission
Build the most transparent, developer-friendly uptime tool on the internet — one that's fast to set up, honest about its data, and gives you the raw signal underneath the dashboard pretty graphs.
We believe basic networking tools (WHOIS, DNS, SSL inspection, HTTP probing) should stay free forever. The pro features pay for themselves through paid plans for teams that need them; the free tools stay free for everyone.
What we monitor
- HTTP & HTTPS endpoint health, every 1 minute, with smart retries
- SSL certificate validity, expiry, and chain integrity
- Domain WHOIS expiry and DNS resolution
- Response time history across 24h / 7d / 30d / 365d windows
- Incident lifecycle — open, retries, recovery — with a full activity log
- Email alerts with throttling to kill noise from flaky networks
Free tools
Every tool below works in your browser and never requires a login:
- Domain name check — WHOIS lookup with availability, registrar, expiry, and alternative TLDs.
- SSL certificate check — Issuer, validity, chain, protocol, and cipher.
- DNS lookup — A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA, CAA records.
- HTTP status check — One-shot request with full response inspection.
- Online curl — Full request builder with header + body editor and a copy-as-curl command.
- Ping — Round-trip latency via ICMP or TCP fallback.
- Port scan — Probe TCP or UDP ports for open services.
Built with
Modern, open-source TypeScript stack: NestJS + BullMQ workers on Postgres & Redis for the backend, Next.js 16 (App Router) + React 19 + Tailwind 4 for the frontend. Everything is containerized and deployable in a single docker compose up.
